This pub staple is a definite crowd pleaser and it's so simple to make. They make perfect appetizers or a fun dinner served with fries and a big green salad.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 lbs (1.36 kg) split chicken wings
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 3 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper
- chopped parsley and/or chives (garnish)
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the chicken wings with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture and place wings in a large bowl. Toss the wings in the olive oil, making sure each wing is coated.
- Combine salt and pepper together in a bowl and sprinkle the mixture over the wings, tossing well.
- Place chicken wings in a single layer on a the parchement lined baking sheet. If any wings looks like they could use a bit more salt & pepper, feel free to sprinkle some on now.
- Bake for about 40 minutes, but depending on your oven, you should start checking at 30 mins. The wings should be crispy and golden.
- Remove chicken wings from oven and place in a large bowl and garnish with some chopped parsley or chives. These wings are tasty enough on their own, but they do go nicely with your favourite dipping sauces.
