Classic Iceberg Wedge Salad

Crispy iceberg lettuce, bacon and tangy blue cheese come together in a classic all season salad.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup of blue cheese dressing
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbled
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh chives
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • sliced cherry tomatoes + croutons (optional)

METHOD

  • Removing the outer leaves of the lettuce and cut the head in half starting from the top and slicing down through the core. Cut each half in half again, making 4 wedges. Carefully cut the remaining core from the wedges, leaving the wedges intact.
  • Plate the wedges and top with the blue cheese dressing, bacon crumbles, chives, and additional blue cheese crumbles. Top with tomatoes and croutons, if using.
  • Serve cold
